The Albert Park Golf Course provides completely public-access golf on a championship course, being home to the prestigious Victoria PGA championship annually during October. It recently increased the par of its course to 72 as a result of extending the course to accommodate over 1500 extra trees of different species.
It was initially developed and first played in 1899, with 1999 marking its centenary as a grand occasion with huge celebrations.
This course runs parallel to the Australian Formula 1 Grand Prix, resulting in its’ closure while that event is taking place.
All other times of the year however the course is available to the public, but bookings are essential so get in early.
