Established under an agreement between the Rockdale Council and the Bexley golf club, the Bardwell Valley course is one of the old-school courses that started out as a 9 hole layout in 1964. 3 more were added by 1964, and by 1978, this originally bushland-terrain course was a fully functional 18-hole course. Despite its deceptive proximity to the city, it is far removed from the urban sprawl. The fresh, natural environment attracts golfers and visitors alike, and the clubhouse facilities are superlative. Guests can take a pick between taking a few swings, and simply lounging on the balcony with choicest drinks. The course itself is an interesting mix of 10 par 3s, and 8 par 4s, with 20 strategically placed bunkers, and the intersecting Bardwell Creek that make for a challenging game of golf. Social golfer can use the course throughout the week, and the golfing tournaments for gentlemen and ladies (with cadet programs) and slotted for Sundays.

The clubhouse is open 7 days offering Bar, Bistro facilites with a partially covered balcony where members & guests have superb views of the course & city skyline. Weekly promotions and prizes are common and everybody is welcome.
