The Dunes Golf Club is nestled within the untamed Australian wilderness, spreading for over 150 hectares of undulating sand hills of the coastal region, known locally as ‘The Cups’ region of the Mornington Peninsula. The Dunes provide a sprawling par 72, 18 hole championship level golf course, occupying an area of 6,409 metres that set off the ambient natural vegetation cover, as well as the unique properties of the terrain. The course is quite a challenging layout that demands considerable accuracy, precision and skill from golfers of all levels. The course is technically a superior layout, offering a mix of undulating green plains that are regularly subjected to climatic conditions and sloping fairways that cut through knolls and ridges. The greens are firm and sturdy, offering the golfers to reach the 30’ and the 40’ putts if he/she can understand the nature of the course. Golfers are only allowed Soft Spikes on the surface; hence the course remains in impeccable tournament condition throughout the year. The course features strategic bunker positions, and stretches of native grasses that come across as natural obstacles, challenging every wayward swing. The course prides itself in its unpredictability, with each hole retaining its distinctive features. Exposed to the fickle climate of the Brass Strait, The Dunes assumes the identity of a unique, challenging layout.
