Designed by Robert Trent Jones Jnr., the Meadow Springs Golf and Country Club, incorporates smart design while keeping the natural features of the land as untouched as possible. The course is a favourite with professionals as well as amateurs. Near Mandurah, thirty minutes from Perth, the course is set in open bushland. Undulating topography, fairways, lined with age old massive Tuart trees and rolling greens contribute to continuously up the challenge for players. Plus, agreat drainage system means that it is one of the best all weather courses in Australia. Due to the nature of the bushland, there is an aura of seclusion about each hole. At most points, the rest of the players seem out of view, heightening the sense of being out in the wilderness! This is probably what the club means when it says it offers ‘golf as nature intended’.
