Apart from a rather funny name, there’s nothing funny about this sprawling 250 acres course, being shaded by the regal 300 years old River Red Gum Trees and other natural vegetation. A course with plenty of surrounding natural wildlife that adds to an overall ambience, the Growling Frog offers its golfers a relaxed, tranquil atmosphere to get their game in. Despite close proximity to the bustle of the Metropolitan Ring Road, the course is serene, and makes more an ideal place to chill out after a game. According to Graham Marsh, the course is integral to the character and the true beauty of the Australian countryside, and the wild, lush outback.
