The Cairns Golf Club was established in 1923, and being the oldest golfing establishment in the city, enjoys a prime location – only some minute’s distance from the Cairns centre. The scenic course is a treat to play on, being a superbly maintained championship level, 18 hole course framed by verdant tropical vegetation, and great mountain scenery. The surroundings provide a comfortable ambience for golfers to practice their swings. The course has repeatedly been very highly rated by leading golfing pros and visitors, and it provides a respectable amount of challenge to golfers with a wide spectrum of skills. The Club upholds and exemplifies the Tropical North Queensland hospitality, giving golfers a friendly environment to play. The surroundings, along with sprawling green course that is a par 72, 6159 metres for men, and par 73, 5,582 metres for women, makes for some extremely enjoyable golfing action.

Crains golf club provides most convenient golf driving range. The driving range is open from 6.00am to 10.00pm daily.
